As maggots eat away the wood and mildew there a few greedy ones descend from the wood into the grave dirt. By a twist of fate the earth moistens itself into a wet substance that now takes the form of mud, engulfing the fall maggots in the cold wet earth as the ground hardens swallowing the fat white maggots alive. A few minutes later a strong wind blows as the earth bellows, as if to spit out a corpse a crack bursts from the center of the unmarked grave that splits the tree in two. The two halves of the tree fall into the dirt of the grave as the earth moistens itself as it had with the maggots, transmuting itself into mud as well. Then the earth hardens as the twisted tormented tree is swallowed alive by the grave. Seconds later the erupting stops only to begin again with an onslaught of quakes that results in a crater to where the unmarked grave once was only now there lies no corpse. The last remnants of life in the crater lies at the center which was a pit that resembles the outline of a mummified body. Only now no body rests simply the pit in the crater that crumbles leaving nothing but a bottomless void that seems to lead nowhere but the abyss. Ten feet from the pit lies a broken rusted pieces of silver resembling a coffin of some sort enmarking..."By the year of the beast will only the soul of the banished return to reclaim his rightful place in the world. And by the power of life over plant and beast will land, sky and sea shudder for the tyrant is among us." As if to emphasize the warning the winds blow out seeking souls who will heed this lesson. ----------------------------------- End. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
